Synopsis Three best friends obsessed with reading about true crime, unexpectedly get involved in a real life true crime of their own.
Inspiration True crime junkies are everywhere and nowadays they have tons of podcasts, TV shows, and movies to choose from. But, there’s one thing missing. A story about them and what would happen if they got entangled in a true crime of their own. What if they weren’t just reading a book or listening to a podcast? What if they were experiencing a crime, first hand. Could they handle it? Would they know what to do? Or would they crash and burn? Those are the questions I wanted to answer. And of course it had to be funny.

Bio Devin O’Neill is an only child from Florida and she hopes you won’t judge her for it. Her writing focuses on comedy and characters. She’s not only written, but also performed original characters and sketches all over New York City for the last eight years.
In 2018 her series, “The Life We’re Living”, was featured on FUNNY OR DIE. In that same year, her one act play, “Opening Night”, was included in the NY Fringe Festival, where her performance and writing received rave reviews. Currently, she is focusing on her pilot, “The Crime Readers”, which combines her love for comedy and true crime. Devin has been described as “that woman with the man’s name” and “That person over there.” She accepts both and can’t wait to hear how you describe her.
