Screenwriter Q&A Follows The Live Script Read

Wolfe Pack
TV Pilot | 34 pages
Screenwriter, Lindsay Heiman
Los Angeles, California – United States

Synopsis A TV workplace comedy set in the confines of a sex cult, Michelle Wolfe must go to great lengths to salvage her dwindling commune and restore faith in her leadership.

Inspiration I am a comedy writer who finds humor in the little things. Fans of my work love the familiarity of my stories; blending reality with make believe, I take successful formulas and reposition them into new settings with new characters. As a self-professed fanatic of The Office, I’ve taken their proven formula of “the world’s worst boss” and replicated it into my own story using “the world’s worst cult leader.” I believe writing is rewriting and I am forever writing and rewriting my life story – I may not be a cult leader, but we can all relate to self-destructive qualities and the need to be liked. While Michelle Wolfe may be loosely inspired by Michael Scott and Charles Manson, she is entirely her own character, and a subset of myself.

Bio Lindsay Heiman is an American screenwriter and author hailing from bible-belt Georgia, currently residing in liberal, sunny Los Angeles. Putting the B in LGBT, Lindsay loves writing (obviously), traveling, binge-watching Netflix, and smashing the patriarchy in her downtime. She has a dog named Duck whom she wrote a children’s book about; the book is about Duck’s identity crisis and isn’t at all about Lindsay projecting her issues into a children’s book. Duck the Dog is currently in publication and set for release in July.

Lindsay studied writing for television at the University of Southern California and graduated from the University of Miami with degrees in Screenwriting and Creative Writing. She moved to Hollywood her senior year and hasn’t looked back since. Lindsay is a former TV Literary Assistant at ICM Partners, a top four talent agency, with experience working at Warner Bros., Paramount, HBO, and HBO Max. She has moved onto writing full time and has a passion for LGBT+ narrative storylines and sketch comedy. Lindsay’s pilot script, Wolfe Pack, has accumulated over 15 awards since her festival debut, with her South Park spec, Sextpidemic, winning 1st place in the Fan Fiction Festival. Lindsay should probably make a website to showcase all of her accolades, but is too busy writing her next script. And by writing her next script, she means watching SNL and eating ice cream with Duck.
