Synopsis: Growing up in Ellisville, Mississippi, and raised a Southern Baptist, Gay Rights Activist and Singer, Lance Bass is the perfect choice to narrate a heart-rending saga of tears, anger and unimaginable loss from the AIDS epidemic in the LGBTQ Community in the Southern United States. During the early years of the AIDS pandemic, ACT UP Shreveport sought to bring attention to the plight of those living with the disease, and also to bring about change in the way the government and the medical community reacted (or failed to react) to the crisis in the conservative Deep South.
