The Anatomy of Vengeance (Hämndens Anatomi) – 44:00 min
(Warning: Extreme Violence, Partial Nudity, Extreme and Coarse Language)
Dir. Bogdan Szyber
Sweden

Synopsis: We accidentally came across an all-female, underground therapy movement, based on a Californian self-realization concept, Action Therapy. One of us was invited to one of these sessions, in which she was offered the possibility of giving electric shocks to hired male ’therapy functionaries’ after having shared stories of emotional pain caused by men. After this, we decided to make a documentary about the movement, as we relate it to a feeling of powerlessness and rage many women feel today. But – do acts of revenge accommodate any liberating and beneficial effects?
And when does the victim become the perpetrator…?

KeyWords: #Vengeance #Feminist #Therapy #Politics
